3. signs of a burnout

Sometimes slowing down is really just moving faster.

I've been working for as long as I remember. It all really started after I completed by engineering in 2016. All I remember is that i’ve been between either jobs, content creation or some sort of preparation.

2016 - 2019 College + Internship + full time job to support family

Full time (Night shift) + MBA Preparation (17-19) 2019 - 2021

MBA (legal issues) typical stressful times - working 18 Hours / day MBA + Co-founder + Internship + Full time job

2021 - 2023 Full time jobs + content + Long travel + Injury

Family Health emergencies

Really haven’t taken many breaks over my time. Effects I’m seeing now?

Constant mental slumps

Less capacity to do deep thinking

Can’t really pull off much when off-schedule

Lower Productivity levels

When does it hit you? When you expect the least.

What can cause this? literally anything.

Injury

Market moving faster than you

Medical Emergencies, pretty much anything

How do you deal with it?

I’ll keep you posted. For now, i’m going to take a week long break to fix this. But before that, I’ll put together a plan to follow after I get back. Really wanted to document this to reflect back. And, to remind you, breaks are important.

Sometimes slowing down is really just moving faster.

Until next time.
